E5: LEMBA: The Africana Authors Space - Mwangala Lethbridge

Introducing Mwangala Lethbridge, an Entrepreneur, Architect, Family Woman, Politician in the making and Trauma Survivor. A Christian by faith and raised Catholic, her belief system rests on four pillars as the cornerstones that guide her purpose in life: taking ownership, reliability, commitment and resilience. She hopes to inspire change in the lives of those she is blessed to encounter.

Mwangala resides both in the United Kingdom with her husband Adam and their three children and in Zambia with her son and lovely grandchildren. Still Standing is her first book.

Still Standing: The Flip Side of Denial, Depression and Forgiveness, is a story that starts with tragedy and ends with acceptance and realisation of the importance to highlight mental health. This is a story of incredible resilience, which will inspire you to challenge yourself.

Mwangala says: "My book is another stage of my catharsis, the process of facing down adversity and challenge. A very personal account of life-changing injuries leading to life-affirming action. An admission of overwhelming vulnerability and a celebration of family and friendship."

Mwangala's story is not one of a kind, but her vulnerability in sharing what she has learnt makes this a book we can all relate to. If you want to increase your resilience, adopt a growth mindset, or just be inspired by the miracles humans can achieve when we challenge ourselves against the odds, this book is for you. There are many lessons shared in Still Standing, but if you learn just one, let that be that there is always another chapter of your life and an unknown strength to survive when the battle is both physical and mental. Depression creeps in at any age and it is important to accept that in order to heal. This memoir encourages the reader to tackle one day at a time and celebrate the smallest achievements as if they were the largest milestones

Still Standing can be found at:

Direct Author sales

Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Still-Standing-Denial-Depression-Forgiveness-ebook/dp/B09VH4M9GB

Author website - https://mwangalalethbridge.co.uk/

Connect with Mwangala here:

https://www.linkedin.com/in/mwangala-lethbridge-402b5020/

The Africana Woman Network is the first African Female led podcast network.

Introducing Boitumelo Motsoeneng, a writer, a child of God, and storyteller, she believes in the transformative power of art and the enduring strength of integrity, service, and competence. Boitumelo strives to create stories that touch hearts inspire creativity and make a difference in the world.

This is a story of tragedy and catastrophe. Rape, betrayal, homelessness, identity crisis, and fear. With each page, things seem to get worse and the glow of hope fades, but in the end, it all makes sense. The beauty of going through it all with God is that none of it is wasted, every ounce of it gives glory to God and shapes you to be like Christ. And that's what you will get to appreciate, the perfection of God when He works things out for good.

This is not to say that one heals completely from things that God uses to mature and transform us. The physical trauma after rape, the psychological consequences, the difficulties in building and maintaining relationships, and the negative relationship with one's body remain part of the struggle for the longest time. Some things heal with time, but some stay for God knows how long. The ones that don't heal become a thorn in your flesh that God uses to keep you low and human, even as He makes your life better. And in this book, the author lays out where she used to be, how much she has healed, and what she still struggles with.

Raped but Saved can be found at:

Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/RAPED-BUT-SAVED-Boitumelo-Motsoeneng-ebook/dp/B0BZFG774X/ref=sr_1_1

Whatsapp: +27 74 060 6587

Connect with Boitumelo at:

Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/boitumelo_mabunda_/

Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100006034365336

The Africana Woman Network is is the first African Female led podcast network.
